A journey is a deeply personal story that starts with you. Alone or together it is an act of passage from one place to another, both physical and emotional. Journeys define our human experience as we grow and move forward in life discovering purpose and wisdom.
Journeys - the Future is Yours, visualizes the process of change; of taking risks, breaking through barriers, reaching beyond boundaries, discovering meaning driven by a human need for inspiration, shelter, freedom or action. Whether we search to find our destiny or to simply survive I am interested in how we move forward and who we travel with. I have always thrived on change and I know stepping into unknown territories takes courage. Dreams are real. If you can imagine it then go for it. These are some of the many things I associate with the journey.

Digital Earth - Veritas
My imagination was shaped early on by sci-fi television from the 1960's; The Jetsons, Lost In Space, Star Trek, Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, Astro Boy, and many more. In elementary school my father taught me how to build radios and in high school I moved on to creating holograms. I love science fiction, space and take great pleasure looking up at the sky and pondering various scenarios for our spaceship, planet earth’s future.
The Digital Earth Series is inspired by Starlink and an imagined future where technology is linked to humanity and Earth has a collective consciousness . I see a utopian future where climate change is a concern of the past, the bio-sphere is protected by a shield of smart networks that respond instantly to natures rapidly changing challenges and where data is collected by smart orbs and information travels faster than light. This is a trans-human future with a collective mind. At the center of this dialog is the confluence of human and artificial intelligence. Veritas for the good of the earth.

EXPLORING CONSCIOUSNESS, 2020
These paintings were created during the pandemic lockdowns of 2020 and 2021 while the world felt quiet and living with stillness became the new normal. Fortunate to have a home studio, I continued working during these challenging times. I created an aesthetic framework for exploring my own consciousness, formed by experiences of my lifetime. The nooks and crannies represent people, places, moments, sadness, joy, success, loves and losses. Consciousness is awareness.
